Two-factor authentication allows you to put an additional layer of security on your existing user account. You should turn on two-step verification to be safe, whether it is a Facebook, Twitter, or Reddit account.

You can enable two-factor authentication for your Reddit account. Before getting started, you should know that you must have an authenticator app on your mobile. There is no restriction on using the app, but it should be able to scan a QR code. In case you do not know about such an app, installing Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator is recommended. How to enable Two-factor authentication for Reddit

To enable two-factor authentication for Reddit, follow these steps-

1. Open the Reddit website and log into your account.
2. Go to User Settings.
3. Switch to Privacy & Security tab.
4. Toggle Use two-factor authentication button.
5. Enter your account password to verify.
6. Scan QR code using an authenticator app.
7. Enter the 6-digit code.
8. Click the COMPLETE SETUP button.

Open Reddit’s official website and log into your user account with valid credentials. Then, click on your profile picture/username and select User Settings from the list.

By default, you should land on the Account tab. You need to switch to the Privacy & Security tab. After that, find out the Use two-factor authentication text and toggle the corresponding button.

Now, you need to enter your account password so that Reddit can confirm whether you are making all the changes or somebody else. After clicking the CONFIRM button, you will be asked to scan a QR code. You need to open the password authenticator app on your mobile and scan the QR code as it says.
